In communion with the entire Church, the community entered into the Holy Year of Mercy on the feast of the Immaculate Conception. 8 December is also the anniversary of the abbatial benediction of Father Abbot (1992).

In accordance with a venerable monastic tradition, on 21 December when the Gospel of the Annunciation is proclaimed during the Eucharist, Father Abbot gave an evening homily called "super missus est". This year his meditation was centered on mercy.

We celebrated the peace of Christmas with its three masses as the community welcomed with joy the coming amongst us of our Savior.

The year ended for us on a beautiful note: Father Abbot clothed a young postulant with the monastic habit after Vespers on the eve of the solemnity of Mary the Mother of God (1 January), placing him under the protection of Our Lady who is also our mother.
