Choir Monk
The name for monks whose main task is constant liturgical prayer in the choir of the abbey church. They also devote themselves to study, although do not neglect the various jobs needed for the day-to-day life of a monastic family. The abbot may call some of them to the diaconate and priesthood for the community's needs.
