The number of people coming to the abbey increased this month. Among them were Monsignor Pierre Raffin, a loyal friend of the community, Don Paul Préaux, superior of the Communauté Saint-Martin, and our Swedish Lutheran friends who faithfully return every two years.

We thanks and said good-bye to our employee, Mr. Henri Leroi, who retired on the eve of the Assumption after serving the community for many years with devoted and discrete work on our buildings.

At the end of the month, the great annual walk permitted us to meet up again with friends of the community for a day of relaxation. The rain did not discourage those intent on walking the several kilometers, nor did it dampen the fun and games during the afternoon.

The Friends of Solesmes Day was the occasion chosen by Father Abbot to confer various ministries on three of our younger brothers: a new lector and two new acolytes for service in the community's liturgy.
