Our community is a big family with young members and … not so young ones. Père Louis Soltner gave us all a suprise on 11 June when he sat at the abbot's table at lunch for his 80th birthday. It's hard to believe, especially with someone so energetic, but the years go by so quickly.
A few days later, we welcomed the members of our families who were able to come to what is now the traditional Families' Day, bringing together the young and old for a few hours of good humor and joy.
The younger monks were feted on the feast of Saint John the Baptist, the patron saint of the noviciat. The novice master presided the liturgical celebrations while the two elder novices served at the altar and as cantors with accomplishment.
Lastly, the whole community celebrated with joy its patronal feast of Saints Peter and Paul, confiding particulary to our patron saint the protection of his present successor, our Holy Father Francis.
